[2.2.10] FluidSynth does not work on Windows 11 with valid SoundFonts and is out-of-date
Last night I ran into an issue with both SRB2 2.2.10 and 2.2.9 on Windows in which the implementation of FluidSynth does not load SoundFonts that DO work even on FluidSynth 1.x. Such a SoundFont is my JummBox SoundFont at http://stgiga.itch.io/jummboxsoundfont (it is 0.99 GiB [1,070,495,770 bytes in particular], while 1GiB is 1,073,741,824 bytes, which means that it DOES work on FluidSynth 1.x [which caps out at 1GiB, and I'm under it by about 3 megabytes], which I have tested and proven it to work in. From what I can gather, FluidSynth in SRB2 is based on an older version of 2.x) Recently some important compatibility fixes were made to FluidSynth 2.x, allowing 4 gigabyte SoundFonts such as HiDef (Available at my weebly http://stgiga.weebly.com )log-2023-03-11_20-04-57.txt Here is a log.
Also, I have all the settings set for MIDI music to work. It just is silent.
