Model feature requests
Just some QoL ideas/requests in regards to models, from model creators:
-
A per-animation flag, similar to the +i flag for interpolation, that would ignore "0" angle frames in an animation. Currently this limits the creativity in model animation, particularly the jump/roll animation, as we're forced to add the sphere frame. This could also make props/objects better with models, as you could actually move around them. Though maybe there would have to be some sort of vertical rotation randomness for props, so they aren't all facing the same direction? Maybe this is a non-issue.

Model animation sets aren't limited to the exact amount of frames that the sprite animation has. Not sure how feasible this is, as it would need limitations for length, and some way to adjust animation speed to adjust for different animation length.

A flag that prevents ambient lighting on a model. This is real minor and nitpicky, but most models are designed to be flat shaded, and look terrible with ambient lighting. We'd like the ability to disable it entirely on a per-model basis. Same with interpolation really(even with interpolation forced on).
Also; is there are particular reason why models are flipped horizontally in-game? It's slightly annoying to have to flip textures, geometry, and animations before exporting a model. Especially for Maverick users, who(I think) don't have easy ways of fixing this if they didn't account for it from the start. Fortunately it's relatively easy in Blender, though still annoying.
