Objectplace puts rings and other objects at incorrect Z positions

Rings placed through objectplace will appear above the position of the sprite controlled by the player. When above a slope, they will occasionally appear on or below the floor. See attached GIFs. This occurs with rings and similar objects including blue spheres, bomb spheres, emerald tokens, emblems, emerald shards, and spike balls.
