[2.2.13] Record Emblems & Multiplayer exploit?
Finding Emblems in Multiplayer is a neat thing, though... with Record-related Emblems, mainly the Score & Rings... these can easily be gotten if you set the LIFE SHARING
option to INFINITE
or if you set the respawn delay for items to a really low value as this will let you farm respawning Rings. (I was gonna say Item Boxes as well, but those don't respawn)
If going by the Infinite Lives Route, you get 100 Rings when breaking open Extra Life Boxes, which does add to your Rings Total and in a way... is technically worth 10K Points (100 points per Ring, thus... 10000 points) as long as you don't lose those Rings.
In the following clip, in order to get the Score & Ring Emblem for this map... you need to be playing on Multiplayer and set the LIFE SHARING
to INFINITE
. (Though using a script to remove lives / make them infinite also works, which can let you do this in Single-Player. Some of the OLDC Packs set your lives to Infinite by default) and clear the map within 30 seconds or less as well as grab all 20 Extra Boxes & 25 Rings... or mess about with the Respawn Delay and get them that way.
The Score Quota was originally going to be 302500 but... you can't get Perfect Bonuses in Multiplayer prob due to the respawning Rings so I had to set it to 252500.

First part shows failure of getting the Score & Ring Emblems because the lives isn't set to infinite to get the 100 Rings from them, though you can wait eleven billion years to farm respawning Rings to fulfill the Score & Ring Quota with a low Respawn Delay. (timescale
can be used to speed this up)
Second Part shows setting the LIVE SHARING
to INFINITE
which makes the Extra Life Boxes give you 100 Rings. Since there's 20 of these Boxes... that's 2000 Rings (200000 Points) that you'll be getting.
