[2.2.14 pre3] Angled flat (floor and/or ceiling) textures erroneously move with the player in Software
The following GIF demonstrates the bug in Software, then switches to OpenGL for reference.
Some of the ceilings in Lugar Verde Zone Act 2 from Round 1 of the 2024 OLDC also exhibit this bug, even in 2.2.13:
Known causes for this bug:
- The sector with the angled flat texture(s) is far away from the blockmap origin.
- This doesn't happen if the flat texture is angled using the "Sector flat alignment" linedef type.
- The angled flat texture is also scaled.
- This happens regardless of distance from the blockmap origin and usage of the "Sector flat alignment" linedef type.
