[2.2.7 RC1] Dead Players can trigger Sector Effects upon respawning.
While this was posted on the forums as a Bug Report, that one was done in 2.2.6 and it still exists in the 2.2.7 RC1 so... reporting it here.
You know how in multiplayer when you die, you respawn without the level reseting? Well... turns out you can trigger sector effects that are buried in the ground if you respawn at the correct spot.
Here in this gif, I am in multiplayer by myself and I was able to start the elevator early in BCZ3 without defeating Brak by dying & respawning at the correct spot. This one is only visual as you still need to defeat Brak to clear the level.
This can also occur in Single-PLayer if using "No-Reload" in the level header. For example... if you have a custom exit buried in the ground that's suppose to rise after you do certain things, the player can die just above that spot and respawn in the correct spot which... if done right will set the flag to go to... say MAP Y. Now if you exit the level by normal means, such as going to MAP X since that's the next map... you will still go onto MAP Y.
Even without 'no-reload' you can still trigger some effects such as Award Score which occurs for 1 frame when you respawn before the level fades in & out to put you at the start/checkpoint.
