Actually it'd be neat if you could choose what color it uses, it allows for a lot more customization than just opposite colors. (also yes Ketchup looks like crap with Metal's Dash Mode)
This was an idea put during a discussion during #scripting in the OS, but I forgot to state it here. A dashcolor
parameter would be lovely for both kinds of dashmode.
The only real problem with this is that SF_MACHINE dashmode uses a colormap entirely unique to it, colorizing the player can't really get the exact same results as it regardless of what setup you use... However, this could likely be worked around by just having it so that if you weren't to set a value for dashcolor or whatever it'd be in your S_SKIN, it'd simply use the default colormap.
Exactly what I had in mind.
