Netcode fixes the sequel

...Oh wow, I forgot I was planning to do further netcode fixes a while ago. Apparently I just made some fixes to the debugfile and added some extra debugging messages in the end though.

I'll leave this WIP until I can decide if it's worth going in as it is or not.
